The Wisteria Park Community Association was created in October 2014. It initially began with a couple of neighbors passing out flyers to promote annual garage sales. More and more people were interested, ideas were floated, and soon it was clear that an association was needed. A newsletter was sent out to all residents within the community to attend the first meeting, and a board of directors was elected.
The association meets regularly to discuss ongoing issues, learn about the ongoing development around the neighborhood, meet with city officials and work together to make the neighborhood a better place with one voice.
Currently, their priorities are road safety within the neighbourhood and surrounding areas, deck limitations for Pondview residents, the expansion of the BMW dealership on Hunt Club Road, business development at the adjacent plaza, maintaining a newly acquired puddle rink (seasonal) and brainstorming for seasonal social activities (see our Events page).
